The Kirby Band 2023 annual meeting was held in September at Kinsman Hall, Athens, PA with a catered supper. Entertainment was provided by Dave Lanning of Newark Valley, NY presenting a variety of music on his electronic device that replicates the sounds of many different instruments. After supper, the normal annual reports were presented along with comments by various band members. There was also a discussion of how hard the members work, to present quality programs, also acknowledging the Kirby Band affiliate, Ain't Misbehavin', and their contribution of music from the Big Band era and the many sounds of historical dance and pop music.
